1. Introduction
This Creator Revenue Policy describes the revenue-share framework between a Seller (including a Creator or Publisher) and Anomaa Studio on eBodhya Marketplace: how Commission is set and changed, Payout eligibility and thresholds, currency and payout method, tax responsibility, and how to dispute a royalty calculation. This Policy describes the mechanism, not fixed rates — actual Commission percentages are published and updated from time to time in the Seller Dashboard, as described below.
2. Definitions
This document uses the shared definitions in Anomaa Studio's canonical definitions list and the Marketplace-specific terms defined in the Privacy Policy Section 2 and Seller Agreement Section 2, together with:
- "Royalty" / "Net Earnings" — the amount owed to a Seller for a completed, non-refunded Order, equal to the Order price less Commission and any other deduction expressly permitted under this Policy.
- "Minimum Payout Threshold" — the minimum accumulated Net Earnings balance required before a Payout is released, as published in the Seller Dashboard.
3. Applicability
This Policy applies to every Seller Account that earns Net Earnings from a completed Order on the Marketplace.
4. Legal Entity
eBodhya™ is a trademark owned and used by Anomaa Studio, a sole proprietorship business based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India ("Anomaa Studio," "eBodhya," "we," "us," or "our"). Anomaa Studio owns and operates the entire eBodhya suite of platforms, comprising:
- eBodhya Studio — studio.ebodhya.in
- eBodhya Marketplace — marketplace.ebodhya.in
- eBodhya Schools — schools.ebodhya.in
- eBodhya Workspace — workspace.ebodhya.in
(together, the "eBodhya Platforms").
Every account, subscription, order, listing, or agreement created or entered into through any eBodhya Platform is an agreement with Anomaa Studio directly. No eBodhya Platform is owned, operated by, or offered on behalf of any third party, franchisee, reseller, school district, or unrelated entity, unless we state so expressly and in writing. eBodhya™ and the eBodhya logo are trademarks of Anomaa Studio; no license to use them is granted except as expressly permitted in writing.
In this document, "the Platform" means eBodhya Marketplace (marketplace.ebodhya.in) specifically, and "eBodhya" or the "eBodhya Platforms" means the wider suite of products described above. Where this document imposes obligations on "Anomaa Studio," those obligations are undertaken by Anomaa Studio in its capacity as operator of the Platform.
5. Revenue-Share Model
For each completed Order, Anomaa Studio retains a Commission and pays the Seller the remaining Net Earnings. The Commission is expressed as a percentage of the Order price (before tax), and may vary by Listing category, license tier (for example, a School-Wide or District/Institution License may carry a different Commission than a Single-Teacher License), or promotional program. Current Commission rates are not fixed in this Policy; they are published, and updated from time to time, in the Seller Dashboard, which is the authoritative source for the rate applicable to a given Listing at a given time. Where a Digital Product is sold as an Anomaa Studio-Published Product, this revenue-share model does not apply, since Anomaa Studio is the Seller for that Listing.
6. Payout Eligibility and Minimum Payout Threshold
A Seller becomes eligible for a Payout once: (a) completed KYC verification under the Seller Agreement; (b) the underlying Order's applicable refund window (see Refund Policy) has closed without a refund or Chargeback; and (c) accumulated Net Earnings meet or exceed the Minimum Payout Threshold published in the Seller Dashboard. Net Earnings below the threshold carry forward to the next Payout cycle rather than being forfeited.
7. Payout Schedule, Currency, and Method
Payouts are released on the schedule stated in the Seller Dashboard (typically monthly), in Indian Rupees (INR) for Sellers with an Indian payout instrument, to the bank account or payout instrument verified under the Seller Agreement and Security Statement. Where we support payout in another currency for a Seller located outside India, the Seller Dashboard will state the currency and any conversion mechanism used.
8. Tax Withholding
Tax withholding and reporting on Net Earnings is the Seller's own responsibility. Anomaa Studio may apply a statutory withholding (such as TDS under the Income Tax Act, 1961, where applicable) before releasing a Payout, and will reflect this on your Payout statement, but you remain responsible for your own GST registration and remittance (where applicable to your turnover), income tax filings, and any other tax obligation arising from your Marketplace earnings. Anomaa Studio does not provide tax advice.
9. Disputing a Royalty Calculation
If you believe a Payout or Net Earnings calculation is incorrect, write to sales@ebodhya.in within sixty (60) days of the Payout statement in question, identifying the Order(s) and the discrepancy you have found. We will investigate and respond within fifteen (15) business days, and will correct and reconcile any confirmed error in your next Payout cycle. A dispute raised after sixty (60) days may still be investigated at our discretion but is not guaranteed retroactive correction beyond what our own transaction records support.
10. Notice of Change to Commission Rates
We may change Commission rates from time to time to reflect the cost of operating the Marketplace and market conditions. For a Listing already published, a change to its Commission rate takes effect no earlier than thirty (30) days after we publish the change in the Seller Dashboard and notify affected Sellers by email or in-product notice. A new Commission rate may apply immediately to a new Listing created after the change is published. Continuing to sell a Listing after a Commission-rate change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new rate for future Orders; it does not affect Orders completed before the change.
11. Privacy
Personal Data collected in connection with this Policy — including your payout, tax, and KYC details used to calculate and pay your revenue share — is Processed in accordance with eBodhya Marketplace's Privacy Policy. Please review the Privacy Policy for the categories of data involved, the purposes of Processing, and your rights as a Data Principal.
12. AI
Automated fraud-detection systems described in the AI Usage Policy may flag an unusual Payout pattern for review before release; this does not itself constitute a royalty-calculation dispute under Section 9, but you may request human review of such a flag under that Policy.
13. Data Processing
Payout, tax, and KYC data is Processed under the Privacy Policy.
14. Cookies
Not separately applicable; see the Cookie Policy.
15. Third-Party Services
Payouts are executed through our Payment Processor; see the Security Statement.
16. Security
Payout instrument details are protected as described in the Security Statement; a change to your payout instrument triggers additional verification.
17. Retention
Payout and royalty-calculation records are retained per the Data Retention Policy, regardless of Account deletion, to satisfy tax and financial record-keeping obligations.
18. Deletion
A pending Payout owed to you is not forfeited by an Account deletion request; see Section 7 of the Data Deletion Policy.
19. Intellectual Property
Not separately applicable; see the Intellectual Property Policy.
20. User Responsibilities
You must keep your tax and payout details accurate and current, and review your Payout statements for accuracy within the sixty (60)-day window in Section 9.
21. Prohibited Activities
You may not manipulate Order volume, use fake purchases, or exploit promotional programs to artificially inflate your Net Earnings; such conduct is prohibited under the Acceptable Use Policy and may result in withheld Payouts.
22. Limitation of Liability
Our liability in connection with Payout calculation or timing is limited to correcting a confirmed error under Section 9 and to the amount actually owed, as further described in the Seller Agreement and Terms of Service.
23. Disclaimer
Payout timelines may be affected by our Payment Processor's own processing times, banking holidays, or KYC re-verification requirements, which are outside our direct control.
24. Termination
Payout obligations already earned before Account termination survive termination, as described in the Seller Agreement; the revenue-share relationship otherwise ends when your Seller Account is closed.
25. Governing Law, Jurisdiction, and Changes
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
This Creator Revenue Policy and any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to it, the Platform, or the Services (a "Dispute") is governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
The parties will first attempt in good faith to resolve any Dispute through informal negotiation for thirty (30) days after one party gives the other written notice of the Dispute. If the Dispute is not resolved within that period, it will be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration in Bengaluru, Karnataka, under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, before a sole arbitrator appointed by Anomaa Studio. The arbitration will be conducted in English, and the seat and venue of arbitration will be Bengaluru, Karnataka. The award of the arbitrator will be final and binding on the parties.
Nothing in this clause prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive or equitable relief before a competent court at any time. Subject to the arbitration agreement above, the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any Dispute not subject to arbitration and over any proceeding to enforce an arbitral award.
Jurisdiction
Without prejudice to the arbitration agreement above, the Platform is directed at Users in India, and Anomaa Studio makes no representation that the Platform or its Content is appropriate or lawfully available in other locations. Users who access the Platform from outside India do so on their own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local law.
Changes to This Creator Revenue Policy
We may update this Creator Revenue Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Services, Applicable Law, or our practices. We will post the revised version on the Platform with an updated "Effective Date" and, for material changes, will provide reasonable advance notice through the Platform, by email, or by an in-product notice, as appropriate to the change and the audience of the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after the revised Creator Revenue Policy takes effect constitutes acceptance of the changes. Where Applicable Law requires your express consent to a change (for example, a material change to how we Process Personal Data of a Child), we will seek that consent before the change takes effect. Changes to Commission rates are additionally governed by the thirty (30)-day notice period in Section 10 above.
