1. Introduction
These Community Guidelines describe how we expect Buyers and Sellers to treat each other on eBodhya Marketplace — in ratings and reviews, in buyer-seller messaging, and when a transaction goes wrong. They exist to keep feedback on the Marketplace honest and useful, and to give both sides a fair path to resolve disagreements before they become public disputes.
2. Definitions
This document uses the shared definitions in Anomaa Studio's canonical definitions list and the Marketplace-specific terms defined in the Privacy Policy Section 2, together with:
- "Review" — a Buyer's public rating and/or written feedback on a Digital Product they have purchased.
- "Buyer-Seller Message" — a private message exchanged between a Buyer and a Seller through the Marketplace's messaging feature, typically about a specific Order or Listing.
3. Applicability
These Guidelines apply to every Review, rating, and Buyer-Seller Message on the Marketplace, and to every Buyer and Seller who posts one.
4. Legal Entity
eBodhya™ is a trademark owned and used by Anomaa Studio, a sole proprietorship business based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India ("Anomaa Studio," "eBodhya," "we," "us," or "our"). Anomaa Studio owns and operates the entire eBodhya suite of platforms, comprising:
- eBodhya Studio — studio.ebodhya.in
- eBodhya Marketplace — marketplace.ebodhya.in
- eBodhya Schools — schools.ebodhya.in
- eBodhya Workspace — workspace.ebodhya.in
(together, the "eBodhya Platforms").
Every account, subscription, order, listing, or agreement created or entered into through any eBodhya Platform is an agreement with Anomaa Studio directly. No eBodhya Platform is owned, operated by, or offered on behalf of any third party, franchisee, reseller, school district, or unrelated entity, unless we state so expressly and in writing. eBodhya™ and the eBodhya logo are trademarks of Anomaa Studio; no license to use them is granted except as expressly permitted in writing.
In this document, "the Platform" means eBodhya Marketplace (marketplace.ebodhya.in) specifically, and "eBodhya" or the "eBodhya Platforms" means the wider suite of products described above. Where this document imposes obligations on "Anomaa Studio," those obligations are undertaken by Anomaa Studio in its capacity as operator of the Platform.
5. Ratings and Reviews Conduct
- Only a Buyer who has completed a purchase of a Digital Product may rate or review it.
- Reviews must reflect your genuine experience. Fake, incentivized, or retaliatory reviews are prohibited under the Acceptable Use Policy.
- Reviews must not contain personal attacks, hate speech, doxxing, off-topic content, or content unrelated to the quality, accuracy, or usefulness of the Digital Product.
- Sellers may publicly respond to a Review once, in a professional tone, to clarify or address feedback, but may not harass, threaten, or offer inducements to a reviewer to change or remove a Review.
- We may remove a Review that violates these Guidelines, and will notify the Buyer who posted it where practicable.
6. Buyer-Seller Messaging Conduct
- Use Buyer-Seller Messaging only for legitimate pre-sale questions and post-sale support related to a Listing or Order.
- Do not use messaging to solicit an Off-Platform Transaction (prohibited under the Acceptable Use Policy), to send unsolicited marketing, or to harass another User.
- Do not share another User's Personal Data obtained through messaging for any purpose beyond the Order it relates to.
- Messages may be reviewed by us where necessary to investigate a reported violation, fraud, or a dispute, consistent with the Privacy Policy.
7. Dispute Escalation Before Public Reviews
If you experience a problem with a Listing or an Order, we encourage you to raise it with the Seller through Buyer-Seller Messaging, or with us through support@ebodhya.in, before posting a negative public Review. Escalating first gives the Seller a fair chance to fix the issue (for example, through a corrected file, as described in the Digital Download Policy, or a refund under the Refund Policy) and generally resolves problems faster than a public Review alone. You are not required to escalate privately before reviewing, and a truthful negative Review is never itself a violation of these Guidelines — but a Review used as leverage to extract a benefit not otherwise owed to you may be treated as an Incentivized Review in reverse and actioned under the Acceptable Use Policy.
8. AI
Automated systems assist in flagging likely fake Reviews, spam messages, and abusive language for human review, as described in the AI Usage Policy. Automated flags do not result in permanent content removal or Account action without the safeguards in that Policy.
9. Data Processing
Reviews, ratings, and messages are Processed as described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Cookies
Not separately applicable; see the Cookie Policy.
11. Third-Party Services
Not applicable beyond the sub-processors identified in the Privacy Policy.
12. Security
Buyer-Seller Messaging is provided over secure channels as described in the Security Statement. Do not share payment details or Account credentials in a message.
13. Retention
Reviews and messages are retained as described in the Data Retention Policy.
14. Deletion
You may request deletion of your own Reviews and messages subject to the Data Deletion Policy; we may retain a record where necessary to defend against a dispute or as evidence of a policy violation.
15. Intellectual Property
A Review or message you post remains your User Content, subject to the limited license needed for us to display and moderate it, as described in the Intellectual Property Policy.
16. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy and tone of your own Reviews and messages, and for reporting Reviews or messages that violate these Guidelines using the in-product "Report" function or by writing to support@ebodhya.in.
17. Prohibited Activities
In addition to the conduct in Sections 5 and 6, you may not: post a Review on behalf of someone else; use automated tools to mass-post or mass-flag Reviews; or use messaging to distribute Content that infringes a third party's rights.
18. Moderation and Appeal Process
- Moderation. We review reported Reviews and messages, and may remove content, restrict messaging privileges, or refer serious matters to enforcement under the Acceptable Use Policy.
- Notice. Where we remove your Review or message, we will notify you of the reason where practicable.
- Appeal. You may appeal a moderation decision by writing to support@ebodhya.in within thirty (30) days, describing why you believe the decision was in error. We will review and respond within fifteen (15) days.
19. Limitation of Liability
Our liability for User-generated Reviews and messages, and for moderation decisions made in good faith under these Guidelines, is limited as described in the Terms of Service.
20. Disclaimer
Reviews reflect the opinions of individual Buyers, not Anomaa Studio, and are not verified for accuracy beyond confirming a genuine purchase.
21. Termination
Repeated or serious violations of these Guidelines may result in suspension or termination of messaging or reviewing privileges, or of the Account, under the enforcement ladder in the Acceptable Use Policy.
22. Governing Law, Jurisdiction, and Changes
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Community Guidelines and any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to it, the Platform, or the Services (a "Dispute") is governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
The parties will first attempt in good faith to resolve any Dispute through informal negotiation for thirty (30) days after one party gives the other written notice of the Dispute. If the Dispute is not resolved within that period, it will be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration in Bengaluru, Karnataka, under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, before a sole arbitrator appointed by Anomaa Studio. The arbitration will be conducted in English, and the seat and venue of arbitration will be Bengaluru, Karnataka. The award of the arbitrator will be final and binding on the parties.
Nothing in this clause prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive or equitable relief before a competent court at any time. Subject to the arbitration agreement above, the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any Dispute not subject to arbitration and over any proceeding to enforce an arbitral award.
Jurisdiction
Without prejudice to the arbitration agreement above, the Platform is directed at Users in India, and Anomaa Studio makes no representation that the Platform or its Content is appropriate or lawfully available in other locations. Users who access the Platform from outside India do so on their own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local law.
Changes to These Community Guidelines
We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time to reflect changes in the Services, Applicable Law, or our practices. We will post the revised version on the Platform with an updated "Effective Date" and, for material changes, will provide reasonable advance notice through the Platform, by email, or by an in-product notice, as appropriate to the change and the audience of the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after the revised Community Guidelines takes effect constitutes acceptance of the changes. Where Applicable Law requires your express consent to a change (for example, a material change to how we Process Personal Data of a Child), we will seek that consent before the change takes effect.
