1. Introduction
This Accessibility Statement describes Anomaa Studio's commitment to making eBodhya Marketplace usable by the widest possible range of Buyers and Sellers, including people with disabilities, and explains how to request an accommodation.
2. Definitions
This document uses the shared definitions in Anomaa Studio's canonical definitions list, together with:
- "WCAG 2.1 AA" — the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
3. Applicability
This Statement applies to the browsing, search, Listing-detail, cart, and checkout flows of the Marketplace website.
4. Legal Entity
eBodhya™ is a trademark owned and used by Anomaa Studio, a sole proprietorship business based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India ("Anomaa Studio," "eBodhya," "we," "us," or "our"). Anomaa Studio owns and operates the entire eBodhya suite of platforms, comprising:
- eBodhya Studio — studio.ebodhya.in
- eBodhya Marketplace — marketplace.ebodhya.in
- eBodhya Schools — schools.ebodhya.in
- eBodhya Workspace — workspace.ebodhya.in
(together, the "eBodhya Platforms").
Every account, subscription, order, listing, or agreement created or entered into through any eBodhya Platform is an agreement with Anomaa Studio directly. No eBodhya Platform is owned, operated by, or offered on behalf of any third party, franchisee, reseller, school district, or unrelated entity, unless we state so expressly and in writing. eBodhya™ and the eBodhya logo are trademarks of Anomaa Studio; no license to use them is granted except as expressly permitted in writing.
In this document, "the Platform" means eBodhya Marketplace (marketplace.ebodhya.in) specifically, and "eBodhya" or the "eBodhya Platforms" means the wider suite of products described above. Where this document imposes obligations on "Anomaa Studio," those obligations are undertaken by Anomaa Studio in its capacity as operator of the Platform.
5. Our Accessibility Target
We target conformance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA for the Marketplace's browsing, search, Listing-detail, and checkout flows. This includes, among other things: sufficient color contrast; keyboard-navigable menus, filters, and checkout forms; text alternatives for non-text content such as Listing preview images; resizable text without loss of functionality; and clear, consistent labeling of interactive elements like "Add to Cart," "Buy Now," and payment fields. Accessibility is an ongoing effort rather than a one-time achievement, and some areas of the Marketplace, particularly Seller-uploaded Listing content such as preview images or sample PDFs, may not yet fully conform, since that Content is authored by independent Sellers rather than by us.
6. AI
We do not use AI to gate or restrict access to accessibility features, and automated recommendation or search ranking (see AI Usage Policy) does not deprioritize Listings based on a Buyer's use of assistive technology.
7. Data Processing
Any information you provide when requesting an accommodation is Processed under the Privacy Policy, used solely to address your request.
8. Cookies
Not separately applicable; see the Cookie Policy.
9. Third-Party Services
Where a Third-Party Service (for example, our Payment Processor's hosted checkout widget) is embedded in the Marketplace, we select vendors that represent conformance with recognized accessibility standards where reasonably available, but cannot guarantee a third party's independent conformance.
10. Security
Not separately applicable; see the Security Statement.
11. Retention
Accommodation requests and related correspondence are retained as described in the Data Retention Policy.
12. Deletion
You may request deletion of your accommodation request records subject to the Data Deletion Policy.
13. Intellectual Property
Not applicable.
14. User Responsibilities
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please report it to us with enough detail (page, action attempted, assistive technology used) for us to investigate and reproduce the issue.
15. Prohibited Activities
Not applicable to this Statement; see the Acceptable Use Policy for general conduct rules.
16. Accommodation Requests
If you need an accommodation to browse Listings, complete a purchase, or manage a Seller Account — for example, a preferred file format, extended time, or assistance completing checkout — contact us at support@ebodhya.in with a description of the barrier you encountered and the accommodation you need. We will acknowledge your request within a reasonable time and work with you on a practical solution, which may include manual order assistance where the checkout flow itself is not yet fully accessible.
17. Limitation of Liability
Our liability in connection with accessibility matters is limited as described in the Terms of Service.
18. Disclaimer
The Marketplace is provided on an "as is" / "as available" basis; while we target WCAG 2.1 AA, we do not warrant complete conformance at all times, particularly for independently authored Seller Listing content.
19. Termination
Not applicable; this Statement applies for as long as you use the Marketplace.
20. Governing Law, Jurisdiction, and Changes
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
This Accessibility Statement and any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to it, the Platform, or the Services (a "Dispute") is governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
The parties will first attempt in good faith to resolve any Dispute through informal negotiation for thirty (30) days after one party gives the other written notice of the Dispute. If the Dispute is not resolved within that period, it will be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration in Bengaluru, Karnataka, under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, before a sole arbitrator appointed by Anomaa Studio. The arbitration will be conducted in English, and the seat and venue of arbitration will be Bengaluru, Karnataka. The award of the arbitrator will be final and binding on the parties.
Nothing in this clause prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive or equitable relief before a competent court at any time. Subject to the arbitration agreement above, the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any Dispute not subject to arbitration and over any proceeding to enforce an arbitral award.
Jurisdiction
Without prejudice to the arbitration agreement above, the Platform is directed at Users in India, and Anomaa Studio makes no representation that the Platform or its Content is appropriate or lawfully available in other locations. Users who access the Platform from outside India do so on their own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local law.
Changes to This Accessibility Statement
We may update this Accessibility Statement from time to time to reflect changes in the Services, Applicable Law, or our practices. We will post the revised version on the Platform with an updated "Effective Date" and, for material changes, will provide reasonable advance notice through the Platform, by email, or by an in-product notice, as appropriate to the change and the audience of the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after the revised Accessibility Statement takes effect constitutes acceptance of the changes. Where Applicable Law requires your express consent to a change (for example, a material change to how we Process Personal Data of a Child), we will seek that consent before the change takes effect.
